Hey friends! How was your first fall weekend? Although I spent most of the weekend celebrating my 12 year wedding anniversary. I did take a few minutes to switch out my spring flower door basket for a new fall door decor.

Alright, here's the full story. I've had the spring flower basket hanging on my door since March. Sunday I noticed my neighbor directly across from me {who has the most amazing curb appeal} putting out their outdoor fall decor. Which made me feel self-conscious that I still had the spring flower door basket out LOL.
I did make a wreath last year that I could re-use. However, given the style of our front door {the hook is in the middle of the door}, I've found a basket looks better than a traditional wreath.
Like I shared last week, my goal is to find new ways to use what I already have. Given how easy and budget-friendly it was to create the spring flower basket, I decided to do a similar fall door decor using the same basket.
All you need are your fall flower and/or greenery of choice and a hanging basket. I got my basket here, it comes in 3 sizes {I got the smallest one}.
Since I already had the basket and the fall leaves and greenery are the same ones I used in my faux-real arrangement on my coffee table in last years fall home tour. I only spent $6 for this fall front door basket.
To get a fuller look I got 3 new fall floral and fruit picks from Michaels. They were 50% off and I also had 25% off coupon {score!}. So that's where the $6 went.
10 Minute Fall Door Decor
This easy fall door decor basket took less than 10 minutes to pull together. Once you have your basket and greenery you're ready to go.
- Start with the leaf stems as a base. Making sure to fluff them out.
- Next, divide the greenery stems and add them to the basket.
- Lastly, tuck in the floral/fruit picks towards the front.
Really easy right?! I love how it turned out! Kinda wild, like I grabbed the branches while on a walk. Plus the color looks great with my front door.
Although, I still need to get some mums and real pumpkins for my front porch. At least I have some fall decor now and not the spring flowers LOL.
Later this week, I’ll share a few fall touches I’ve been working on in my living room. So be sure to check back!
I would love to know what's hanging on your door for fall?
