Beautifully Illustrated Vintage Botanical Posters
When I came across these vintage botanical illustrations I realized although I'd never heard of Adolphe Millot before. But turns out I was already very familiar with his work.
Adolphe Millot (1857–1921) was an accomplished French painter, entomologist, and lithographer. Who is best known for illustrating most of the natural history sections of Petit Larousse {a French encyclopedic dictionary}.
{I have to give a shout out to my daughter who is currently learning french, for doing the research and translating some of the posters for me 😅}
I've seen his illustrations for years all over the internet for sale on sites like Etsy, Amazon, and even physical prints at a local antique mall.
And it's no wonder his work is so popular. The wonderful botanical art he created is actually natural history educational illustrations.
Yet there is no denying their beauty that makes them perfect for wall art.

Free Botanical Printables Notes (Please read)
- 🌟PLEASE READ!🌟These Adolphe Millot vintage posters are for personal use only.
Since these are so popular I have made minor alterations to them that you will not notice. So should anyone decide to share my work without my permission I will know.
These versions are the edits I did personally and painstakingly on the unedited royalty-free versions found online (see example below).
- To keep as much authenticity and interest as possible to the lovely original illustrations by Adolphe Millot. I kept some of the "imperfections" of the scanned pages like the watermarks and natural discoloration.
Last week I told you these were my favorite prints out of all the ones I've shared. And I wonder if they are you're favorite too, let me know in the comments below.
