I'm so ready to say goodbye to old man winter officially!
To celebrate the arrival of spring.
I'm sharing with you 5 quick {and inexpensive} ways to freshen up your home for spring now!

5 quick ways to freshen up your home for spring
1- Bring in some greenery
Breathe new life into your home by adding some plants to the mix.
Plants are not only a good addition to your home because they look nice. They also have benefits such as improving the air quality inside your home.
So even if you don't have a green thumb {like me}.
You can find a variety of low-maintenance plants at just about every home improvement store, as well as some big box stores.

2- Let The Sunshine {and fresh air} In
One of the easiest things you can do to brighten up your home and bring in that fresh spring feeling. Is to literally let the sunshine in!
Replace those heavy curtains with ones made of lighter fabrics.
Or no curtains at all to let as much sun in as possible.
While you're at it don't forget to roll up those blinds.
Throw open your windows and/or doors to take full advantage of the gorgeous spring weather.
It will make a world of difference to the feel of your home!
Even that piece of furniture you can't wait to replace. Won't look half as bad when you have glorious sunshine streaming in.
And your home has that wonderful fresh smell from having your windows/doors open.
3- Add new pillows in a fun color or pattern
Changing throw pillows is one of my go-to solutions when I want a quick update.
It never ceases to amaze me how something as small as pillows can easily transform the look of a room!
It's a fun and easy way to bring in a pop of color and to give your chair, sofa, or bed a new look on the cheap!
You can find inexpensive pillows to fit almost any style at most big box stores.
- Target
- HomeGoods
- Walmart {yes Walmart!}
- Marshall's
- TJ'Maxx
- Kirklands
- Amazon
4- Spruce up your front porch or patio
Whether your front porch is large or small.
It's the first part of your home that greets visitors {and you too if that's your main entrance}. Why not make it fresh and inviting for spring!
- Start with a clean slate by sweeping away debris that has accumulated over the winter months.
- Add a new doormat if you're old has seen better days.
- A seasonal wreath or flowers will make your front porch or patio even more welcoming.
5-Decorate with flowers
Last but definitely not least bring a touch of spring inside with fresh flowers.
It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive.
Grab a bunch of flowers of your choice {think tulips, sunflowers, daffodils, etc...} from the grocery store. And place them around your home to bring the feeling of spring inside!
These inexpensive grocery store tulips instantly boost the cheer factor in my home and add a fun pop of color that just screams spring!
I hope these quick and inexpensive tips get you inspired to freshen up your home for spring!
