Today I'm sharing 6 natural elements to use for cheap fall decor around your home!
I. LOVE. FALL!
Unlike spring and summer. Fall is one of those seasons that has a very distinct look and feel to it. Pumpkins, changing leaves, the cool weather, warm hues, snuggly blankets, and the list goes on.
Which is why it's easy to go overboard when decorating for fall. Now there isn't wrong with that if that's what you like.
But, if you've read my blog for any length of time you know I like a more neutral and simpler approach when decorating my home for fall.
Mostly because It allows me to decorate for one of my favorite seasons without having to change all my everyday decor.

6 Natural Elements To Use For Cheap Fall Decor
1. Dry Hydrangeas
Say what now? Yes. I said dry hydrangeas. They are absolutely gorgeous and always fit in seamlessly with my fall decor. If you're lucky enough to have access to fresh hydrangeas, I have several pins on my Plants and Gardening Pinterest board on how to dry them easily.
My secret for getting dry hydrangeas is going to my local nursery and just asking them if I can have some. I usually get them at the same time I buy my mini white pumpkins {early September or very late August if you're lucky}.
I can remember having to pay once and it was only a few dollars. For the most part, they were always happy to give me what they consider a dying flower anyway.
2. Mini White Pumpkins
If I don't buy anything for fall, I'm buying some mini white pumpkins, ok! It's literally my must have each fall season.
They make adding a little fall flair to your home so easy.
Place them in any pretty bowl or basket, and boom you have a wonderful fall display.
Really your imagination is the limit on how you can use these petite pumpkins in your fall decor.
3. Fall Leaves
"Autumn is a second Spring when every leaf is a flower." - Albert Camus
This quote by Albert Camus is all facts! Leaves turning beautiful warm colors is the hallmark of fall.
Simply going outside and clipping some leaves is one of the easiest ways to bring the feeling of fall into your home.
If you live in an apartment, or you don't have trees in your yard {I know I didn't}.
What I generally do is go for a drive {nice to do as a family} with my hedge clippers in the trunk. When I spot a particularly bountiful tree in a public place like an open field, or a park. I would stop and clip a couple of branches.
Hopefully, you're not judging me LOL.
5. Silver Dollar And Seeded Eucalyptus
Admittedly I only started incorporating eucalyptus into my fall decor last year.
I don't know why I'm so late to this party, but I'm just glad I'm here.
The great thing about eucalyptus is they last a long time, and are inexpensive.
Trader Joes, Publix, Kroger, and my local florist are all places I've found silver dollar eucalyptus.
6. Mums {Indoors}
Mums are a quintessential fall flower. The most common colors are the traditional red and orange colors associated with fall.
Not to mention most people use them outside.
Well, I like to turn that on its head. Because mums come in a variety of sizes and colors.
So I like to get the smaller or medium size mums in light colors. Plop them in a pretty planter and where done!
