The Tree - Classic Fraser Fir
When we moved into this house at the beginning of the year. One of the things I was most excited about was having a separate formal living room. Want to know why? Because I knew I would get to put two Christmas trees this year 😄.
So it was serendipitous when Tree Classics reached out about partnering with them.
While I'm a 100% team artificial Christmas trees. I do want them to look as realistic as possible. The classic Fraser fir, with its lifelike branches, fit the bill perfectly!
In addition to being very realistic, this faux Fraser Fir tree was a breeze to put together. I set it up by myself in about 10 minutes once I got it out of the box. After that, I fluffed it some and I was ready to decorate!
The Theme - A Blue and White Inspired Christmas Tree
Each year I decorate my tree with a different theme. But I usually don't decide on a theme until October or so. This year I knew I was going with blue and white since my living and dining room makeover back in the spring. Which consisted of an array of blue and white fabrics and decor.
Although the theme is blue and white, I didn't want the tree to look too stark. So instead of using strictly blue and white ornaments.
I incorporated a warm gold mesh ribbon and these silver and gold collection of assorted glass balls from Tree Classics.
{I always use these types of glass ornaments as my base ornaments no matter what my Christmas tree theme is!}.
The Blue Willow ornaments started out as a child's play tea set I found at a local antique mall. I hot glued some can tabs to the back of the dishes and used ornament hooks to hang them on the tree. I love how they look!
Another favorite of mine is the small sunburst mirrors I used as large ornaments.
Y'all already know I love to add a little bit of bling to every project, and my Christmas is no different. These gleaming gold and silver finials ornaments are some of my very favorites and added to much sparkle to my tree!
In our family, we each get one special ornament every Christmas. This year as my daughter "helped" me decorate the tree.
She was so enamored with all the beautiful ornaments from Tree Classics, but this one glitter ornament had her smitten. She excitedly asked if it can be her special ornament this year.
Of course, I said yes. She placed it low on the tree so her BFF {our cat Magnolia} can see it better LOL. It was such a sweet moment.
As far as the pink, it was a game-time decision. Once I was done decorating the tree initially, it looked nice. But, it needed a little oomph {you know what I mean?}.
After rummaging through my ornaments, I found these small pink ornaments I used on Kayla's Christmas tree a couple of years.
And that fun pop of color is exactly what my blue and white Christmas tree needed!
Once I added the pink ornaments, it was like a domino effect! I even created some charming pink and blue Chinoiserie gift tags that I'll be sharing later this week.
I was able to create the blue and white Christmas tree of my dreams thanks to Tree Classics realistic Fraser Fir and gorgeous ornaments!

Awww thank you so much Kathy! I don't normally wear makeup, so I was afraid I would look "clownish" but I'm glad I didn't 😆.

Hi Linda! Your Christmas tree is blue and white perfection! And love the hints of pink. You gave me just the inspiration I needed. The tree is going up tonight. My son from Phoenix is coming for Thanksgiving so I have a Thanksmas theme going as it has been years since we spent either holiday together. Love, love your beautiful home!

Roni, I’m always excited when I meet another blue and white lover! And I’m even happier when I can share some inspiration. I love those bamboo chairs. I had the cushions custom-made, and the fabric came from a local fabric store. I’m sorry. Honestly they were fairly inexpensive to get made. Feel free to shoot me an email if you need any help.
Roni says
Thanks Linda. I will share a picture of your cushion with my local upholsterer and ask him to duplicate yours. Hope that’s okay. Love your house!
