Now that Thanksgiving is firmly behind us, we can officially start decorating for Christmas without any guilt!
Today I'm so happy to share my Christmas entryway and living room decked out for the holidays!
This year my blue and white inspired Christmas tree {with a pop of pink} set the tone for the rest of my decor in my entry, formal living and dining room!
My Christmas entryway decor mostly consists of everyday items with a few holiday touches thrown into the mix to create a look that's festive but not overdone!
I hung my boxwood wreath {that use year round} on my mirror using a 3M command hook. The addition of a small pink ribbon immediately makes it festive!
And of course, my beautiful entryway table makes everything look good :).
Speaking of ribbons, adding some blue and white gingham ribbon to my Staffordshire dog figurines also made them holiday ready.
Red poinsettias are the quintessential Christmas flowers. So when I found them in pink at Trader Joes this early in the season, and for only $5 each! I knew they were coming home with me.
Using my brass footed bowl {one of my favorite pieces ever} I displayed a mix of my vintage Shiny Brite ornaments and inexpensive shatterproof ornaments from Walmart.
And of course, I used a book to add some height to my brass bowl. Books are one of my favorite things to thrift and decorate with.
On the opposite side of the entryway, we have our bench area. The beautiful bench is from Nadeau furniture, which is one of my favorite store for unique and quality wood furniture.
The New York City Ballet Nutcracker framed print is a sentimental thrift score from a few years ago.
I grew up in New York and can remember always seeing advertisements in all forms for the New York City Ballet Nutcracker during the holiday season.
You can grab my free Chinoiserie inspired gift tags HERE.
This is our first Christmas in this home so finding and I was sooo excited to have a separate formal living room that I could decorate for Christmas this year!
I kicked things off earlier this month with my Tree Classics blue and white inspired Christmas tree. You can read all about it HERE
Our formal living room is not huge. And our decorated Tree Classics Christmas tree while not huge has a lot of presence.
Therefore I wanted to keep everything else in here as simple a possible. Especially my tall shelves that can look really cluttered really quick.
The trophy vases are old from Michael's.
The mercury glass orbs are from World Market from a few years ago. But Amazon sells one that's very similar.
One of my very favorite Christmas decor purchase this season is this cute small nutcracker couple from Target, for only $10! Plus, they had a ton of options like Santa and Mrs. Claus!
My DIY lighted cloche {which I keep out all winter} is another favorite. In the evenings they add the most magical soft glow!
Because of the Christmas tree, we had to move our small armchair. And I just love it over here on this side that I might keep it there after the holidays.
Plus my favorite chunky throw makes it the perfect spot to cozy up and enjoy the Christmas ambiance in the living room.
I started collecting vintage Shiny Brite ornaments about 3 years ago and absolutely adore decorating with them.
I do not think my Christmas decor in the living room and entry would look the same without their beautiful saturated colors!
Great places to look for vintage Shiny Brite ornaments
I've even scored a few a thrift store.
Given all the wonderful color these ornaments bring to the room. I decided to keep my pillows as neutral as possible.
I added two faux fur pillows and a small Christmas theme pillow.
My favorite blue white trellis pillows from Pottery Barn {now on sale for $16!} have not budged since I made over the room earlier this year.
I swear they work with everything! Don't believe me? Check out my fall living room decor.
Now let's take a quick look at the adjoining dining room.
The bulk of the decorations is really in the tablescape. And you can see the full Christmas tablescape HERE. So be sure to check back!
But, for now, let's look at the small Christmas touches around the room.
A small boxwood wreath hung by a pink ribbon on the hutch beckons you to come over and take a peek inside.
Inside my faux bamboo hutch, is the nativity display I found recently at a local thrift store.
I shared my excitement for this unique nativity in a recent thrift store haul video on my Youtube channel.
To bring in more of the season, I added these two adorable small faux wreaths from the Magnolia line at Target over my bird paintings on either side of the window.
Last year around this time is when my husband got a job offer in Georgia and we had a month to find a new home there and move.
And although we were overjoyed at the news. The timing was less than ideal.
Trying to blog about Christmas decor while simultaneously packing made decorating for Christmas not as enjoyable. Especially knowing I had to take it down almost as soon as I put it up {bloggers problem}.
But this year has been so much fun decorating for our first Christmas in our new home.
All right, friends, that's it for today. I hope you enjoyed having a look at my blue and white Christmas decorations!
I have a lot more holiday inspiration to share in the coming weeks! Starting with my Christmas tablescape this Friday!
See you next time!

This is so pretty, Linda! I'm a big fan of non-traditional Christmas colors - love the blue with pops of pink:) And that nutcracker print is perfect! I hear you on the moving at Christmas time, we did that this year and it's just the worst timing!
