    Coffee Filter Wreath Tutorial

So what do you do when you have a ton of coffee filters, but no longer have a coffeemaker?

Make a coffee filter wreath of course!

Well at least that's what I did, and I'm going to show you how you can do it too!

    WREATH

Now this DIY is really simple and no one will ever guess it's made out of coffee filters. Plus this wreath can be used year round!

It's the perfect project to tackle while binge watching your favorite shows on Netflix (I'm I the only one guilty of doing this lol?).

Well lets grab our supplies and get started, shall we?

    Supplies:

    • foam wreath form
    • coffee filters
    • glue gun & glue sticks (lots of glue sticks)
    • a pen (to help keep your fingers from getting burned)

That's right I rest my glue gun on a piece of egg carton, I'm super legit like that hehe.

    Wreath-direction

Step 1: Fold the coffee filter in half as best as you can, and twist the bottom.

Step 2: Add your glue to the tip you just created and stick it to the wreath form. Use your pen to flatten it and adjust as needed. You can use your hand if you want but you do run the risk of getting burn (I got burn a few times, not fun)

Step 3: Repeat until your wreath form is totally covered, working in a circle. Don’t panic if it doesn't look even, clearly mine wasn't even. Once your done you can trim it so all the filters look even and no one will ever be the wiser 😉

I used somewhere around 100  coffee filters for this wreath,  I did not want a very full wreath. If you want a fuller wreath you will need to use more filters.

Now that you are  done,  just find a spot, hang, and enjoy!

It's beautiful on its own, but you can also add other decor elements to it like I did.

For Christmas I tucked some fresh evergreens into it.

For  Valentines I added some felt flowers from Targets Dollar Spot and heart picks from the Dollar store.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Let me know your thoughts on it below!
