Hey friends! I had such a good time going down memory lane to put together this post sharing 6 thrift store furniture makeovers with high end style.
If you’ve read this blog for any length of time, you know I’m an avid thrifter.
I love taking a piece that was cast aside and breathing new life into it.
I’ve scored some of my favorite furniture pieces in our home from thrift stores, estate sales, and antique stores/mall {it all fall under the umbrella thrifting to me}.
If you’re anything like me, then you love a good before and after. So let’s take a look at these 6 thrift store furniture makeovers.

1 | Faux Bamboo Server
When I found this vintage Drexel heritage faux bamboo server it was yellow and dingy. However, I fell in love with it on site and could see the potential.
After a few coats of white paint and some gold spray paint on the hardware. This piece was back to its former glory.
2 | Vintage Campaign Dresser
When I found this vintage campaign dresser I was sooo excited I mean I practically ran to pull off that price tag.
I still haven’t shared this makeover on the blog yet, but it’s coming.
3 | Vintage Campaign Nightstand
A few months before I found my campaign dresser, I was lucky enough to find this campaign nightstand. I painted it my favorite navy blue spray paint. It looked great in my son's bedroom makeover.
4 | Vintage Lucite Office Chair
It's so hard to come across real lucite pieces when thrifting, let alone one that is a good price. So I hit the jackpot when I found this authentic lucite {not acrylic} chair for my daughter's room at a steal! I took some inspiration from Pottery Barn Teen office chairs, with the fur and gold legs.
5 | DIY Lacquered Table Makeover
This narrow wood table I scored at an estate sale was a perfect size and shape for my sectional. It was my first time using an oil base paint, and I loved the results.
6 | Vintage Fretwork Console Table
When I came across this Chippendale style console table, that I had previously drooled over on not one but two of my favorite home decor blogs, I did a little jig. Of course, my favorite navy blue table was at work but I'm always willing to paint it again when the mood strikes.
I hope you enjoyed taking a look at back at some of these amazing projects with me, I almost forgot what some of these pieces looked like!
The focus was on thrifted furniture today, but keep an eye out for a home decor version of thrifted pieces I've made over!
I can't wait to find some more gems like these in the future to give a new look too!
