    Easy DIY Glowing Glass Cloche

Hey friends! I've been waiting a year to share this super easy DIY Glass Cloche project with you!

You might have seen them in different photos I've shared over the years. This past fall I used them to showcase my dollar store-painted pumpkins.

Now check out the video below to see how I turned it into a pretty glowing glass cloche for the holiday season in minutes!

    Easy DIY Glass Cloche Video

So why did I wait a whole year to share these you ask? Well, I created these cloches for everyday decor a few years ago.

However, last year I decided to add some string lights to my DIY glass cloche as part of my holiday decor. I loved the look so much.

I realize I had to share it with you guys.  However, time got away from me so I never got a chance to.

This is why I'm extra excited to be able to share it with you today!

    Easy DIY Glass Cloche Tutorial

Now, this DIY glass cloche is sooo easy to make. If you think you're not a DIYer then this is the DIY project for you LOL.

The first step is to gather a couple of old dome clocks {also known as an anniversary clock}.

The ones I used came from the thrift store for a few dollars each.

Next, remove the clock portion by unscrewing it from the bottom. Repeat for as many clocks as you have.

Lastly, paint the base. I used 2 thin coats of primer, allowing it to dry in between coats. Then I used 3 thin coats of white spray paint.

Of course, you can use any color you want.

And you're done! Wasn't that so simple?!

Now you have a beautiful and versatile glass cloche for much less than you would pay in almost any store!

What do you think? Would you make this easy DIY glowing glass cloche?

    Thanks for stopping by today!

I often think that we overlook how much impact the simplest of DIY's can have. You really do demonstrate that, Linda. This glowing glass cloche is lovely and twinkly and just perfect for your holiday decor!
