Ok, transparency time. I struggled with how to share the progress in our entryway with you.
If you’ve read this blog for a while you know I’m no stranger to room makeovers. And if I do say so myself I feel I’ve knocked it out of the park each and every time.
Except for this time. Don’t get me wrong I like it. But I want to love it! And right now I don’t. {See the video}.

VIDEO TOUR OF THE ENTRYWAY
The warm and neutral space I envisioned when I created the mood board for this entryway refresh wasn't fully realized with this update.
The New Look
Individually I like each of the changes I've made to the space.
The entry table paired with the large round mirror and my $13 DIY thrifted lamps are my very favorite part of the entry.
The little vignette is pulled together with some old and new thrifted treasures. Alongside a large vase {old from Target} filled with baby's breath.
Using a big bunch of baby's breath was a tip by an Instagram friend. They're inexpensive and look great even when dry.
If you follow me on Instagram you know getting the paint was a bit of a challenge.
However, I love having both doors in the entry painted the same color. Sherwin Williams Iron Ore.
I tried to add some interest to the bench with an animal print pillow and a throw.
Like I said in my earlier post, the bench was an end-of-the-season sale purchase from Target. I'm currently on the hunt for something different. Crosses fingers FB Marketplace comes through.
Gallery Wall
You might notice the baskets are still hanging over the bench. I initially planned a simple 6 grid gallery wall to go in that spot {see mood board above}.
To create a more interesting and unique look. I’ve opted to go with a collection of thrifted gold frames I've gathered over the years instead.
I will pair them with some beautiful vintage printables {more on that in an upcoming post}.
Final Thoughts
Ultimately I think the entry looks nice. And I’m glad I went ahead with the changes I've made.
The biggest issue I have is when you combine the black doors, lamps, and bench with the neutral rugs and accessories. The overall effect is much more monochromatic than I anticipated or would like.
It happens sometimes when you’re decorating. You get to a final look that’s not exactly what you pictured. And it’s not the end of the world.
I’m just going to live with it and gradually switch out some of the things that I don’t love that much. Like the rugs and bench.
Have you ever redecorated a space and not love the outcome? What did you do?
Thanks as always for being patient and supportive friends!
