Thank you to At Home for partnering with us.
Hey friends! I'm excited to have teamed up with 7 talented bloggers to bring you the #FabFallFest fall home tour blog hop! If you follow me on Instagram, you know over the last 4 weeks we've asked you to show us your home for the #FabFallFest hashtag party, and today my 7 cohosts and I are showing you our homes all decorated for fall.
I've linked up to all 7 bloggers at the end of this post. So be sure to check out their tours for some fabulous fall inspiration.
Having said all that, welcome to my very first fall home tour. Let's start right in the entry!
When decorating my back porch for fall, I did not hold back on using color. With my indoor fall decor though, I went for a more neutral feel.
I got the pair of large brass deer last year and used them on my Christmas mantel, and thought they could work for fall too. They're the perfect anchor for my simple fall vignette of faux greenery and pumpkins. My dollar store painted pumpkins looks right at home with the real thing!
So yeah speaking of pumpkins, I went a little pumpkin crazy for this years fall home tour! You'll see what I mean once we turn around and head into the dining room.
See what I mean about the pumpkins LOL. I hit the white pumpkin jackpot at my local nursery, and with the addition of some bigger heirloom pumpkins. It's exactly what I needed to create the neutral fall look I was going for in the dining room.
So yeah I'm one of those people who buy things sometimes and hoard them away for years. Like these gray gingham slipcovers that I got at Ikea two years ago for $10 each because they were being discontinued. I love that they are still neutral but add a little more interest than my beloved white slipcovers.
I'm all about simple and easy when it comes to creating a centerpiece. Putting pumpkins on top of candlesticks as well, as easy as it gets! I thrifted the glass candle holders for $5 and the mercury glass candle holders where an end of the season sale purchase at world market several years ago.
To bring in some texture and to tie in with the other gold accent, I used a brass planter I thrifted for $3 last year to display some mums. I was so happy when I found this potted mum at my local nursery in a nontraditional pinky color.
I'm not sure it gets more fall than pumpkins and wheat stalks!
You can grab the free "hello fall" printable along with two others I shared HERE.
I'm not sure I've ever shown this view of our home, but from here we can go straight into the living. And, yes the curtains are back, although I love the look of curtainless windows. I wanted to create a warmer feel and I felt the curtains would help with that. However, don't be surprised when the curtainless windows make a comeback.
The change that had the biggest impact in this room was, changing out my slipcovers. Just like I did last year, I swapped out my white slipcover on the sectional for this warmer beige one in the fall and winter months. I'll bring the white slipcover back in the spring.
You can read all about this family-friendly {A.K.A kid proof} coffee table that I got from At Home HERE.
These fall leaves in my favorite blue and white ginger jar is what I like to call "faux real":), as I have both real leaves that I grabbed from the yard mixed in with some faux leaves I got from Michaels {for 70% off!}.
A favorite piece of mine is this bowl from Nate Burkes for Target. I don't get to use it too often but, I thought the gold leave detail was perfect for fall.
I also changed the white slipcover on my armchair for this gray gingham fabric one that I got on super clearance {$15} two years ago but never used. I got the matching covers for the dining chairs at the same time, also on the cheap since Ikea was discontinuing that pattern.
Somehow magnolia makes it into every photo shoot nowadays!
Blue is a constant color in my decor, and I love how well it works with the warmer colors I have going on in here now.
I already told you how much I love this garden stool I got from at At Home for a steal! Perfect as a little side table!
I got the inspiration to use these huge baskets that I had on top of shelve in my summer home tour, on the wall from a local Thai restaurant that I had something similar. I loved the texture it brings to that side of the room!
Moving on to the breakfast nook. I did not add much, just a few little pumpkins and small potted mums. This is where we do homework, projects, eat, etc... so it would be impractical to over decorate it. I have lot's plan for this little area in the coming months, so stay tuned.

Hey Darnetha, Thanks girl! I've had those slipcovers for years and was always to hesitant to use them. Glad I decided to go for it this year!
Vin says
Lovely tour and photos Linda. The blue really shines through, I love your dining chairs btw!
And also great tip on mixing real and faux branches! 🙂 I might just borrow that idea
Linda P. says
Hey Vin! Thank you! Mixing the real and faux branches was totally born out of necessity! I planned on only using faux branches but it looked a little thin, and I had no time to go and get more from the store, so I just grabbed some from the yard. I think I will be using that idea again! Always happy to have you stop by!
Alaya says

Linda!!! it's soooo beautiful! I love your neutral take on fall decor! It's definitely all in the details--like your gingham slipcovered chairs, so beautiful! What I would do for all of that natural sunlight in my home! I love your "faux-real" centerpiece too, definitely something I would do! My favorite shot is the glimpse into your kitchen with the baskets on the wall, just gorgeous! So Beautifully done my friend!
