Living Room and Dining Room Lighting - ORC Week 5

    Hey friends!

I can't prove it but, I'm certain the last 5 weeks of the One Room Challenge have been in fast forward.

Becuase, how is the reveal next week?!

In any case. I did get quite a few things done in the living room and dining room this week.

    Catch up:  Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5 | Reveal

Since last week, quite a few big things have been crossed off the list!

The new lighting got installed and man what an improvement. It's just so much lighter and brighter than the previous chandelier.

The color is a little darker than I expected, but overall it's still a huge improvement over the last one.

As you can see, the curtain rod and curtains are up and so far, it's one of my very favorite things in the rooms!

Like I told you last week, these blue and white curtains were a shift from the original design mood board.

However, I have to say they make the rooms! I mean they were worth every penny! They are lined, weighed at the corners so they drape nicely, and the fabric is nice and thick!

The faux bamboo chairs are also done.

They look great in white, as I knew they would.

The cushions I had made fit like a glove! Since I used a solid color, I went with a fabric that had a little sheen and movement to it.

Those were they big project from last week. But, it's the details that make a room come to life, so I've been pulling together a ton of accessories.

This lamp from Target's new Opal House line is sooo good!

So excited I finally get to use my vintage tobacco leave lamp {I've had it for like 2 + years}.

The neck of the lamp is very very short, which is why the lampshade looks kinda stupid in this picture LOL.  I'm waiting on an extra long lamp harp that I ordered from Amazon.

It's shameful but I totally forgot about these bird prints, I got from HomeGoods a few years ago.

So glad I came across them, they totally work with the look I'm going for!

There is still a ton left to do before the big reveal on next Thursday, so this next week is going to be crazy!

Join me next week for the big reveal! I'm so excited to share it with you!

Thanks for stopping by friends! Don't forget to check out the other Guest Participants week 5 progress.
