Loft Bonus Room Refresh | $100 Room Challenge Week 4

We are in the home stretch of the $100 room challenge, where I'm giving my loft bonus room a little refresh.

I'm very excited for the reveal next week.

However, the loft is not quite ready for its close-up yet.

So let's talk about this week's progress.

The table is finally painted. Hallelujah!

In a last minute decision I went with my favorite navy blue spray paint, Rust-Oleam Navy Blue, instead of the glossy black I shared in week 2.

I have painted both my entryway table and the campaign nightstand I made over this same blue. A separate post on the table makeover will be coming soon.

I think the black would've been too stark of a contrast in here, especially given the *ahem* slight changes I've made yet again.

I really liked the decor plans I shared in week 2 and had no plans of changing it. However, I've learned during this challenge that when you're mostly shopping your home, plans tend to change as you think up new ways to use what you already have.

This was what the room looked with me pulling things in and out this week and seeing what worked best together.

This part is really fun for me. I don't mind the mess because it's always that way during a makeover before you can get to the pretty.

I love how spacious the loft feels now that we've gotten rid of the large coffee table.

But, the room felt like it needed a little something after we moved it. I pulled in the rug from Jaden's room, and well it looks awesome in here!

The blue in the rug prompted me to rethink my pillow choices. After going through my pillow stash {I have a pillow hoarding problem LOL}.

These blue and black and white stripe pillow covers {that used to be in my living room} seemed like a good choice.

After adding these changes, painting the table blue just seemed like a no-brainer.

Also, a little tip to keep baskets and the like from scratching your painted furniture. Just stick some felt furniture pads to the bottom.

I also did some shopping along the way. I spotted this piece at Target and just had to get it! The words ring so true. Admittedly it was a splurge at $24.99 but I did get it at 10% discount.

I love these lamps and really {really} would like to keep them. Although the almost $60 price tag for the pair, means that may not happen.

When I'm looking for decor pieces at a killer price, Bargain Hunt is always on top of my list of stores to check out. I got both this cute Oh Joy print and Nate Burkes for Target table for less than $20!

This little table will be great to hold drinks and snacks when the kids are hanging out in here. Bonus, the leather top means less worry about spills.

These little faux leather stools will add extra seating when needed. Plus, they can tuck in nicely underneath the table when not in use.

I also purchased 4 of these little white pails from Target's One Spot. I placed them in this previously brass caddy, that I sprayed the same navy blue as the table.

The plan is to use them to organized the kid's pencils, markers, scissors, etc...

    Total spent so far: $78.48

    Two 18×24 prints – $3.58

    Two frames – $21 {$14.99 each + 20% off}

    Table - $16.20

He Hey Hey print - $3.20

    Be You print -  22.50

    2 cans blue spray paint - $8

    4 small white pails - $4

    Week 1 | Week 2 |Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5

This week will be all about pulling everything together for next weeks reveal. I'm really looking forward to having this space done!
