At the beginning of the month, I refreshed our bedroom decor with a more neutral look.
It's amazing how swapping out a few accessories can make your space feel fresh and new again!

Back in the fall, I gave our master bedroom a major makeover. Taking it from dark and dated to light and airy.
I also used plenty of bright pops of color, but I kept the bigger pieces neutral. Making it easier to change the look by just swapping out some of the smaller bedroom decor and accessories.
By the way in the photo above, my bed is made in the way I shared in my how to make b bed beautifully and quickly.
However, the photo below shows how I usually make my bed on the weekends when the family is in chill mode.
Our master bedroom is on the ground floor, so the kids are always hanging out in here.
Master Bedroom Decor Update
I hung a super easy DIY wreath I made during the holidays over the sunburst mirror. I actually can't believe it's lasted this long with no shedding considering the greenery is real.
On the bed, I went with my go-to pillow arrangement. Replacing the navy blue floral pillows for a pair of faux fur pillows, that you may recognize from my 2015 holiday home tour.
The $15 velvet love pillow is a Homegoods find that replaced the coral pillow I previously had.
In keeping with the more neutral look, I opted to use an all-white sheet set with a pretty trim you can see on the pillow below.
When going neutral with bedding {or any decor really}, it's a good idea to use pieces that have texture. This will help add interest and keep the look from falling flat.
Along with the love pillow, this cute fur basket is the only other new bedroom decor piece I purchased for this small refresh.
I love that it adds a cozy touch to the room and definitely represents the season.
This basket only cost $10! I got it for 70% off at Michael's after Christmas sale. If you read my 6 tips for decorating on a budget, you already know the end of the season sales are great for getting home decor items for a steal.
Another super cozy touch d is using my deer print faux fur throw on the bed instead of draped over the armchair.
You guys this fur throw is everyone's favorite, it is so so soft! So great for snuggling on a cold day.
Even small changes such as using simple faux greenery instead of colorful flowers on the nightstand added to the room's more neutral look.
Although I couldn't help but add a small pop of color with a thrifted book and a bit of texture with a wooden trinket box.
Apparently, this corner of the room did not get the neutral memo LOL.
$15 Faux Bamboo Mirror Makeover
As you can see how making some fast, easy, and most importantly inexpensive changes {$35} to our bedroom decor room got a fresh new look! And who doesn't like waking up in a pretty bedroom!
Thanks for stopping by, see you, next time friends!

Hi Linda! I just "discovered" you today And I must say I am impressed with your decorating style! One thing I notice is how you use some strong color and bold prints on some of your throw pillows and I am in love with that and how you mix these with other pillows. Loving your neutral bedroom style. Looking forward to seeing other beautiful things from you! Happy new year!
