Hey friends! Welcome back to another week of OMG WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE! Also known as the One Room Challenge week 4 update LOL.
This week's update is a quicky, so let's see what we got crossed off the list.
The biggest change to report this week is that the room is finally painted, yippee! Do the happy dance with me ya'll! Painting this room wasn't as simple as slapping on a coat of a paint. We had to have a professional come in because the wall had a faux textured finish on it that I can only assumed was supposed to mimic suede or something, I don't know. Either way it had to be sanded off before any painting could be done.
Here's a video showing some of the progress made this week. Please excuse my hoarse voice, I was and still I'm battling a cold.
For those who skipped the video here is the room before painting. Oh how I disliked this drab color. I've been waiting for a whole year and a half to paint this room {basically since we moved in}.
After painting. So much better right?! I didn't do a great job capturing it with this iphone photo, but yeah so much lighter and brighter.
The nightstands are done, now I just need to install the new "lucite" and brass hardware I showed you last week. You guys even with my mattress on the floor, I feel that the room looks better than it did three weeks ago ?.
Where is the bed you ask? Well after several panic inducing delays with the shipment, I'm happy to finally say that it has been shipped and is scheduled to be delivered on Friday the 28th {I'm not holding my breath}.
Although I'm loving how the side of the room is looking with with the updated nightstands, the other side is still a tragedy. All my focus will be on getting the campaign dresser done since that is the last big piece I'm waiting on to complete the room.
By the way, I'm loving my blue "velvet" curtains!
This week coming up is a huge week in terms of progress that needs to be made. The campaign dresser is absolutely the number one thing on my to do list.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll follow along as I try to get everything done in the homestretch! for the crazy. The best way to stay updated is to sign up to my email list and get my new posts delivered right to your inbox. I promise, no spam ever!
Don't forget to check out the other guest participants. There is always so much inspiration to be found in the ORC link ups!

Don't you just love how paint just changes the feel of the room! I truly love that color. The navy blended with it looks very elegant, and the rug - is the anchor of it all... It's really going to be fabulous. (and you did a great job painted the nightstands..)

Linda it was nice hearing your voice. Tthe curtains are gorgeous. And they look great with the new wall color. Looking forward to seeing that beautiful bed in the room.

That is a tranquil color, perfect for a room whose main purpose is sleeping. Why do people put textures on walls? They are nightmares. You were wise to pay someone to tackle that for you.
