ONE ROOM CHALLENGE {ORC}: WEEK 5

Hey friends! So uhm yeah it's week 5 of the ORC, {week 5!}.  This means I have one week to finish this room and share the the big reveal. This last week has been nonstop DIYing, running around for last minute things, and panicking.

This week was HUGE in terms of progress! The room immediately looked different once we got the bed put together  {so happy it was finally delivered last Friday}.

I'm not going to show any full room shots this week because I don't want to spoil next week's reveal ?. However I do want to share some details that's going into the finished room.

First let's address the project that's been a bee in my bonnet the last week, the campaign dresser.  I'm happy to say that it is finally painted. I love love the blue{ish} gray color, which is the same color I used on my estate sale side table makeover. It's an oil based paint so the finish is shiny and durable!

The only thing left to do is shine the hardware {and boy is there a whole lot of it}, and put them back on. Then we can finally move this baby into the room.

Having the big pieces in place is great but you know how the saying goes, the devil is in the details.

Cozy throws with lots of texture. By the way this spotted deer hide throw is one of my favorite things I got for the room, I can't explain how incredibly soft it is.

Metallic accents galore that hopefully won't look too gaudy when everything is installed.

This piece has me at deer leg! I love when my decor has character LOL. Cant wait to show you how I'm using this piece for something other than it's intended purpose!

Times like this when I'm happy to be a bit of a decor hoarder. I'm raiding my stash of decorative pieces that I have stored away to finish styling the room.
