    ORC: Dining Room Office Reveal {Video}

You guys we've made it! It's time for the One Room Challenge dining room office reveal!

If you've been following along with me, you know this makeover has been a roller coaster ride. Complete with shipping back chairs, rugs, curtains {I mean completely crazy town}.

    Catch up here: Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 & 4 video update | Week 5

Home office styling with vintage bust and gold headphones

I only got my sideboard on Saturday and the hardware on Monday. So to say I'm making this reveal by the skin of my teeth, might be an understatement.

I'm sharing tons of photos {sorry not sorry LOL}! So grab your favorite drink and let me show you around. I also added a source list at the end the of the post, just in case anything catches your eye.

This space started out as an underused formal dining room.

After a few changes and missteps, I finally nailed down a design direction.

And now it's a functional and beautiful home office!

I'm just in love with the results you guys! I feel so lucky to be able to have this space to work in. It's a far cry from the little desk I had in our loft bonus room.

Chic and girly home office with farmhouse trestle table, DIY Gold chandelier, tufted arm chair.

Since this room is the first one you see when you walk into our home. I wanted to make sure it was both practical and pretty. My goal was to give it the feel of a sitting room with the functionality of an office.

The trestle dining table turned desk is the first piece of furniture I bought for the dining room office.

I love the contrast of the rustic table in this otherwise feminine space. Not to mention it provides plenty of surface space to spread out when I'm working.

Chic and girly home office with farmhouse trestle table, DIY Gold chandelier, tufted arm chair.

To keep the table looking neat, I corral all the items I wanted out of my desk in this large tray. I just adore the bamboo handles.

Oh and look who finally got some business cards y'all.

The long-suffering drama with the Ikea shelf cubby came to an end when I found this amazing gray sideboard at HomeGoods. Having the closed storage has been a godsend because now I can hide all the "officey" stuff when I'm not using them.

To keep this room free and clear of clutter I organized all my office essentials with some pretty boxes, also from HomeGoods. Again knowing this is the first space in our home people will see, keeping it neat most of the time is my goal here.

Let me tell you guys, one of my very very favorite things in here are the chinoiserie inspired wallpaper panels. It provided the jumping off point for the colors in here, especially the pink accents. I ordered the wallpaper panels from Tempaper and they scaled it down to size for me. I'm so so happy with the results!

    DIY chinoiserie panels

These big armchairs invite the rest of the family to use the space as well. This will be a great spot to sit with a book or magazine. With plenty of space on the table to put drinks, snacks, etc...

Speaking of tables, finding the right size table to put in between these chairs was definitely a Goldilocks situation.

Chic and girly home office with farmhouse trestle table, DIY Gold chandelier, tufted arm chair.

The gold table I planned on using looked ridiculously small next to these very large armchairs. I got another table that was just too big {I showed that one in my week 5 update video}.

Finally, I found this cute pedestal table with a chrome base and wood top. The height was just right but the top was entirely too small. Measuring only about 14 inches.

Chic and girly home office with styling inspiration, blue and white, glass top table, fiddle leaf fig
Then I had a lightbulb moment. to make the table bigger and more functional, I purchase a 24" glass table top and simply placed it right on top of the chrome table. These little adhesive circles keep it from shifting plus it's pretty heavy.

I love the outcome! It's a bit modern with the chrome base and glass top, but the wood accent adds a little bit of warmth.

Right before I ordered this pinboard board from PB I came across this one from Homegoods which look so similar for a fraction of the cost. Yes, please!

I have to say that I did let myself indulge in a bit of feminine flair with all pink touches.

You guys as if I wasn't lucky enough to now have this beautiful space to work in. Hubby recently surprised me with a MacBook 😱! To say I was surprised and simultaneously so overjoyed is an understatement. Ugh I love him so much, he's the best,

To keep it real with you, I still plan on putting my iMac in this space. But, it was nice not to have to mess with the cords and everything for these photos 😄.

Like I said in my week 3&4 video update, this room was already pretty when I started this challenge.

I didn't even paint. But adding touches like this chandelier {which I'm completely in love with you guys!} just use the space a whole other vibe.

Chic and girly home office with DIY Gold chandelier and DIY chinoiserie panels

The vintage looking rug adds so much texture to this room and brings in color, has also gone a long way into making the room look updated.

Plus it's so soft underfoot. I've already found a child under my desk laying on the rug playing with the cat LOL.

You guys it feels so rewarding to have this space complete and I'm just so so happy with the results.

A big thank you to Linda from Calling it home for hosting the One Room Challenge. It's so great to think of all the people enjoying a wonderful new space in there because of this awesome challenge.

First time I've seen your page and I'm hooked. I love that you find affordable pieces - it gives me hope that I can do what I'd like. One of the things that struck me immediately was the incredibly bright white ceiling and wainscotting (sp?). Do you know what color white that is? Also, do you use a semi-gloss on trim and eggshell on walls? Thank you for sharing your gifts!!

I’m having the issue of trying to decide on making a living room/dinning room combo so I can use the dinning room as an office space. But this gives me the idea to use the dinning room as an office/dining combo. Is that something you would consider doing if you needed the seating for a dinner party? Maybe store dinning chairs else where until I need. Figuring I need the office everyday and a dinning a few times a year so I’m having trouble deciding. Thank you! Love your choices would do something similar design wise, love the pink!!

Linda this space came out so great!!!!! My husband and I use our dining room as our office but our family also eats here too, so I've been trying to think of some solutions to make it function as both. Love your sideboard with the office supplies so neatly tucked away. Everything is so pretty.....I'm sure you love working in here!
