    Cleaning & Organization, Kids

The one thing you need to organize children's books!

    dddd

Hey everyone! So I've been slowly continuing to work down my O.H.O list.

Today I'm sharing with you a small but useful tidbit about how to keep your kids early reader books from slipping and sliding all over your bookshelves and generally looking a hot mess!

If you have young children or know anyone with young children chances are you either own or have seen these little early reader books.

My children love these books! Especially my kindergartener who takes such pride in being able to read on her own.

I love them too!  They are inexpensive and you can find them in almost any topic or character your child is into. So needless to say we have a lot of them!

Anything that gets my kids reading more is always worth having around in my book {see what I did there ?}.

Now the thing is because they are so light and thin, no matter how many times you prop, lean, and straighten them they always end up doing the slip and slide.

And, eventually look something like this...

Even when I had them in a basket they still looked messy. Plus I noticed the kids where less likely to want to dig through the basket to find a book.

Then I found the one thing that solve all that...

    Magazine holders!

I know it's nothing earth shattering y'all, but they work so well for corralling these small and lightweight books I just had to share!

I've always use magazines holders for my kids coloring books and it occurred to me they would work just as well at keeping these books looking neat and organized too!

Not to encourage any hoarding tendencies but you can easily fit twenty or more books into just one magazine holder!

The books stay put and look neat, even if you have a ton of them {like we do}!

Plus on the decorating side of things, you can find magazine holders to go with just about any decor style you got going on!

I would love to know, how you organize and store your children's books!

Thanks for stopping by friends, see you next time!

      What a great idea!

I love the unit you used with the colored boxes - where do I purchase those from?

Great idea Linda! I'm going to have to pick up a few myself because I have the same issue with the books just on the shelves or in a basket. I love the pop of color too!

Linda I love this. The books look so pretty and its nice that the kiddos get to see them which will keep up their urge to read.

Thanks Erin! I totally agree, I see Kayla pulling out books to read more often now. ??
