Project: #1room30days - Week 4 Big Boy Room Makeover

    Hey everyone,

This last week of Project: 1 Room 30 Days has been a doozy! With lot's of detail to work out and a ridiculous amount of spray painting {my garage floor looks like a kaleidoscope ?}. The effort has been well worth it though, because Jaden's big boy room is looking great so far!

If you've missed my progress so far you can check out week 1, week 2, and week 3!

I will be doing a full reveal on Wednesday, so this will be a really quick run through of what I got done this week.

With hubby help, I finally managed to get the headboard upholstered {insert happy dance}!

Remember in my kickoff post I told you I found a fun vintage piece that would be perfect for displaying Jaden's extensive Lego mini figure collection. Well it's a vintage letterpress drawer I found at an antique store.

I had to clean each tiny cubby {147 of them!} individually. After many Lysol wipes and the help of the vacuum, this baby was squeaky clean.

I added the hardware and it was ready to hang!

I told you last week I wasn't sure if I was going to paint the campaign nightstand. Well I decided as much as I liked the natural color, it wasn't in the best condition. So I painted it a navy blue and polished the hardware. I will have a tutorial for this makeover after the reveal.

I found the perfect rug at the perfect price $25 for a 5x7! It got Mags the cat seal of approval as well LOL!

The only thing I'm still struggling with is the bedding. I've tried several options and so far nothing quite works. I thought I hit the jackpot when I found this brand new navy blue Ralph Lauren duvet cover for not $10 but $4 at the thrift store!

However the color is entirely too dark and doesn't look good next to the blue nightstand. Now I've run out of time and must find something quickly!

I will be back on Wednesday with the full reveal, complete with sources! So be sure to check back!
