Hey friends! When we moved into this house a few weeks ago the broken ceiling fan was on the top of our list of projects to tackle.
So for the last couple of weeks, I’ve searched high and low for a stylish and modern fan that’s also affordable.
I was surprised to find quite a few modern ceiling fans under $200, and I'm sharing them with you at the end of this post!

Let’s be honest ceiling fans don't necessarily have a reputation for being stylish. However, being hot ain’t cute either.
This is the fan that was in the space when we moved in. Very traditional and not at all our style.
We wanted a ceiling fan that was a bit more modern so we choose the Hunter Crandon ceiling fan.
This fan checked all the boxes! Sleek, simple, and in our budget!
Things to consider when buying a ceiling fan for your space:
*Be mindful of your ceiling height. If you have really tall or vaulted ceilings you might need to order a longer downrod than what comes with the fan you choose.
*Consider the blade span. A large room will need a ceiling fan with longer blades and vice versa. Our ceiling fan has a blade span of 52 inches, which falls into the 52-62 inch blade span recommended for large rooms.
*If you have slope ceiling you will need to purchase a sloped ceiling adapter.
*If the ceiling fan will be the main light source in your room {meaning there's no recessed lighting in addition to the fan}, be mindful of the max bulb wattage, and that it will provide sufficient lighting.
