Welcome to my summer home tour! I'm excited to show you around and share the changes I've made in the entry, dining, and living room.
Long before I started blogging, I always loved the seasonal home tours out there in blog land! Even now it's still one of my favorite type of blog posts to read {I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to some of my favorite home tours!}
It's so surreal to me that I'm now on the other side, and actually sharing photos of my own home! My main home tour {where I share all the spaces in my home} and spring home tour remains two of the most popular posts on this blog, and it warms my heart that you guys enjoying taking a peek into my home.
On that note, let's get the tour started! I know I have some new friends stopping by, welcome!
As usual let's start in THE ENTRY!
Like I said in my other home tours the entry is one of my favorite places to make seasonal changes! It's not a big space, so a little change goes a long way in giving it a new look and feel.
These fun trio of turquoise bottles I got last summer from Kirkland's are such a fun little nod to summer!
I purchased the floral vase from an estate sale last fall and I'm so glad to finally have an occasion to use it!
The entry looks right into THE DINING ROOM.
This white pitcher has made my list of all time favorite Target purchases! Inexpensive classic pieces like this pitcher, that can be used with a variety of styles are great to have in your decorating arsenal.
I first used this cute salt and pepper shaker set in my thanksgiving tablescape. They were a bargain at $2 from another estate sale!
I'm of the opinion that it's ok to break out the "fancy" silverware even for casual meals!
I had a lot of gold in this space over the holidays, and though I still have a little bit of bling going on in here. I'm liking this current look a lot more!
To tone down the blue just a bit from my spring home tour, I took down the blue and white plates, and switched out the accessories on the console table.
DIY thrifted lamp makeover
It doesn't get more summery {probably not a word?!} than blue-tinted glass in my opinion!
I'm so happy that my new fiddle leaf fig is thriving in this once empty corner!
Now let's move on to THE LIVING ROOM...
Just like the entry and dining room, the living room hasn't changed a ton since my spring home tour. The jute rug and white slipcovers are the perfect backdrop for both spring and summer.
Although I loved the cheerful pops of yellow in my spring decor, I went with a more calm and neutral blue look for summer.
Honestly, the kids being home is all the excitement I need LOL.
By following my rule of thumb of shopping my house first, I'm able to change things up from season to season without having to purchase all new decor.
Except... maybe for a few new pillows. The moment I laid eyes on these floral pillows at HomeGoods with their wonderful mix of neutrals, deep blue, and turquoise colors, I knew had to have them! They were just the perfect blend of neutral and color I was looking for.
You guys you have to see the before of this lamp, it was really dreadful! You can see the thrifty makeover HERE!
I love using trays on my coffee table to hold decor. That way if we need to use the table, let's say, for a game of cards or to hold snacks while watching a movie, I can just pick up the whole tray and move it or easily push it to the side.
Curious about my white sectional?! I shared a one year review of my Ikea sectional and tips on cleaning the white slipcover HERE!
I'm not sure if I said it before, but my living room is my favorite space in our home! We spend most of our time as a family in here, so in reality, it's never this clean.

I'll leave you with my favorite view our living room. This is the view from the kitchen, and often times when I look this way, I'm almost always guaranteed to catch sight of the kids playing, or my hubby hanging out. Plus, I just love our candid black and white family gallery wall so much {especially since it takes away some of the focus from the TV}.
Thank you for visiting with me today! I hope you all enjoy my summer home tour as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you!
But, don’t go just yet… before you leave remember to pin this to your HOME DECOR Pinterest boards!

Beautiful! Love your living room and dining room curtains. Can you tell me where you found them? I'm planning to redo our spare bedroom in blue and white and will be needing new window covers.

Beautiful home tour Linda! I love all the blue and it definitely looks summery! (Totally a word ;)) Btw I feel the same way about pinning. After relentlessly pinning all this time, I can't believe I am pinning my home! ?

Hi Vin, Thanks for the sweet comment! Glad I'm not the only one who uses the word summery ?. The other day on Pinterest I came across my own pin in my feed that was pinned by someone else and I was so blown, it's so unreal to me for some reason! Always appreciate you stopping by!

You have such a lovely home, Linda! I just love love love all that beautiful blue you've incorporated throughout the house. It is so gorgeous and really makes your home look so ready for summer! And I am so with you, get some use out of that fancy silverware so it's not just collecting dust on a shelf!
Linda P. says
Thank you so m much Celeste! I just can't resist blue no matter how hard I try! I think for the fall I might try something totally different but, we shall see because I've said that before and still ended up with blue ?. I'm trying hard to reduce the number of "special occasion" I have that is like you said just collecting dust! Always appreciate your comments!
