Hey friends! So, if you follow me on Instagram or have read even one post on this blog you know thrifting is my jam!
This week I'm so excited to be joining the ladies of Thrift Score Thursday as a guest host!
#thriftscorethursday it's one of my very favorite hashtags on Instagram! Not only because I'm an avid thrifter myself, but because of the ah-mazing {and sometimes envy inducing} finds that everyone shares.
Now let me share with you my thrift score for this week!
Last Friday I went to an estate sale and admittedly at first glance I was a little underwhelmed at the offerings. That was until I spied these beauties across the room!
I fell hard for this marble horse head bookends, but I wasn't ready to shell out $35 for them {I'm cheap frugal you guys LOL}.
Luckily I was able to convince the gentleman to let it go for $15 after purchasing a few other pieces. One of them being that cute little brass dish you see on the left, it has the words 'pocket change' engraved on it.
I actually passed up a similar pair before, no horsing around {I had to get that joke in there}. I'm so glad I got them this time around. They fit in perfectly with my other thrifted treasures!
Thrift Score Thursday Features:
So all my fellow thrifters here's how you can play along and get a chance to be featured!
Simply post a picture of any recent thrifty find on Instagram using #thriftscorethursday!
- You can share any thrifty finds with us – whether they hail from a thrift store, Craigslist, estate sale, garage sale, side of the road, or apartment dumpster! The fun, the funny, the awesome, the odd – this hashtag party is open to all!
- Feel free to use #thriftscorethursday any day of the week! We’ll be keeping up with the hashtag all week long to find our favorites for the following Thursday.
- Each week, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from A Designer At Home, Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios and I will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature! So please understand that by linking up with #thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
- Please note that we can only see photos shared by public accounts, so if you have a private Instagram account and we haven’t been showering your finds with love, it’s simply because we aren’t able to see them.
Now onto my favorites...
Ashley {@biggerthanthethreeofus} found this cute bamboo stool on the cheap. It looks great as a plant stand, but the beauty about a piece like this is that it's so versatile. I would've definitely scooped this one up too! Side note: That rug is pretty fantastic also!
Aren't these brass angel candle holders fantastic?! It's so great that Debi {@treasure.nest}, didn't stash these beauties away until the holidays. They add such fun a touch to this pretty vignette.
So I have a soft spot for anything brass {just take a look at my pictures!}. These two beautifully detailed pieces caught my eye right away. Can you believe that {@thekoicurator} found them a day and over 200 miles apart?! How amazing is that!
I would be a happy camper if I came home with these awesome finds that Nicole {@sweet_domicile} scored while thrifting in another town. The colors in those original painting are just so pretty, they almost remind me of Fall. Plus, how adorable is that wooden pineapple bowl?!
And finally this bamboo dresser found on Craigslist by Laura {@laura_alice_daws} is the stuff my thrifting dreams are made of! I actually groaned when I saw this picture. This piece definitely falls into the "envy inducing" category I mentioned earlier.
Be sure to stop by and check out all my co-hosts to see their favorite #ThriftScoreThursday finds!

Thanks Cassie! Yes that bamboo dresser is pretty amazing isn't?! I'm not sure what was different this time versus when I saw them at the worlds longest yard sale last year, but I had to have them!

What great bookends! I've seen pairs similar but never at a good price so you did well getting him down to $15. Maybe one day... Great TST finds too, I must have missed that bamboo look dresser from Laura it is amazing! Everyone is out there scoring the good stuff!

Thanks Maggie, I was surprised too! I put a pile of stuff in front of him including the bookends and made an offer and he said ok, I wasn't about to ask any questions haha.
