A Very Merry and Bright Home Tour Part 1

Hey friends, I'm so so excited and honored to be joining a super talented group of ladies today for the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour 2016.  Each Wednesday for the next  3 weeks {starting today},  we will be sharing our homes all decked out for the holidays!

The previous stop on the tour was the talented Shelly from Confetti Style. How beautiful is her bold and chic Christmas tree?!

If you are coming from Shelly's I'm so happy to have you here. I'm excited to show you around my living room this week. I have a lot of photos to share, so I will keep the "talking" to a minimum.

Unlike last year, I decided to go with a more classic palette of red and white. The house feels so festive and cheerful!

    christmas-magnolia-leaves

Just like in my fall home tour, I went with a  faux-real flower arrangement again. Magnolia leaves are by far my favorite evergreens, and they are plentiful here in the south,. for a pop of color I added the faux berries.

I started collecting vintage ornaments last year and they are perfect for displaying in different containers.

Can you spot our cat Magnolia? If you've been around here before, you know a tour is not a tour if she doesn't make a cameo appearance ?.

I continued the red and white palette with my tree decor. This is my first flocked tree, which is a birthday present from hubby {he gets me ?}.

You guys I looove how it looks! The "snowy" branches allowed me to use less ornaments and still have a full looking tree.

Hubby randomly brought me home this cute santa ornament this year.

I was happy to use some of my special glass ornaments this year!  The heart, cat, and glass snowman ornaments are 11 years old! We got them in our first year of marriage, at Bronner's in Michigan {touted as the world's largest Christmas store}.

I look forward to passing these down to my kids when they get older!

These plaid Ralph Lauren pillows from HomeGoods were my first purchase of the season. They were also the inspiration for the red accents I used.

I'm still loving my Magnolia Home blanket ladder. I think I may add some lights to it!

Let's turn back around and take a look at the fireplace. I kept the mantel pretty simple, with fresh greenery and faux greenery and pops of red from the ornaments.

I hope you enjoy taking a peek inside my home, and got a bit of inspiration for your own holiday decor. I will be back next Wednesday with my entryway and dining room, so be sure to come back.

Next on the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour is Jenna from Wife In Progress. Be sure to check out her beautiful decor and continue the tour!

Also be sure to check out all the homes on the tour today for amazing holiday decor inspiration!

Your home is so festive and beautiful Linda! I have always loved red and white for the holidays and only this year for the first time not used red. But I miss it, lol, now seeing all of the lovely red touches here in your home!

Thank you! For me it's actually the very opposite I have not used red in my Christmas deco in years. I really love how festive it makes everything feels.
